Who Warrior Law Is

Michael P. Gilbert founded Warrior Law LLC in February 2017. Before law school he served as a U.S. Air Force Air Commando attached to special operations ground teams, and the firm's identity is built on that background. It handles criminal defense, DUI, domestic violence and personal injury cases in Escambia, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa and Walton counties, which puts NAS Pensacola, Eglin Air Force Base and Hurlburt Field inside its service area.

That matters for the website. A large share of the people searching for a defense lawyer in this part of Florida are service members, military families and visitors, and they are usually searching at the worst moment of their week. The site has to be found across four counties, not just in Crestview, and it has to answer real questions before it asks for a call.

What the Website Had to Do

We set four goals for the build, and everything on the site traces back to one of them.

  1. 1

Rank in every town the firm serves

A firm in Crestview competes in Pensacola, Fort Walton Beach, Destin and Niceville too. Each of those searches needs a page that speaks to that town, not a generic practice page with the city name swapped in.

  2. 2

Answer the question before the search for a lawyer

People search "can a victim drop domestic violence charges in Florida" long before they search "criminal defense attorney Crestview". The site needed guides that answer those questions plainly.

  3. 3

Make the call easy and the fee less scary

Phone number in the header on every page, a free consultation offer, and a payment plans page that says out loud that you don't need the full fee today.

  4. 4

Load fast on a phone with one bar of signal

Most of this traffic is mobile, often from a courthouse parking lot or a jail lobby. Server-rendered pages with no heavy scripts in the critical path.

What We Built

The site runs on Next.js, the same framework behind our own site, with every page rendered on the server. As of October 2026 the sitemap lists 124 pages, and they fall into a few deliberate groups.

Practice area hubs

4 pages, one each for criminal defense, DUI defense, domestic violence and personal injury, that explain the practice and link down to every city.

Practice area by city

64 pages, one for each practice area in each of 16 cities. The Crestview criminal defense page, for example, runs over a thousand words about local courts and procedure, not a template with the city name filled in.

Service area pages

A hub, 4 county pages and 16 city pages, including dedicated pages for NAS Pensacola and the region's military bases.

Legal guides

25 long-form articles on the questions people actually type into Google, most of them over a thousand words.

Trust pages

Case results, client testimonials, an attorney profile and a payment plans page, so the pitch is backed by evidence rather than adjectives.

Structured data

LegalService and LocalBusiness markup with an offer catalog and the four counties as the served area, an Attorney profile linked to the lawyer's Avvo listing, a WebSite node, and FAQPage markup on the homepage.

How the Search Content Works

Two kinds of pages do the heavy lifting. The practice-area-by-city pages catch people who already know they need a lawyer and where. The guides catch people a step earlier, when they are trying to understand what just happened to them or someone they love.

The guides are the part most firms skip, and they were among the site's most-read pages in the reported period. A few of the titles show the approach.

  • Domestic violence allegations in Florida, for visitors and locals
  • How criminal charges get dismissed in Florida
  • A DUI arrest in Northwest Florida, step by step
  • The Lautenberg Amendment and military domestic violence cases
  • Military DUI and what service members need to know
  • Florida expungement and record sealing eligibility
  • What adjudication withheld means in Florida
  • The pretrial services scam targeting Florida defendants

Several of these are written specifically for service members, which is the audience the firm is best placed to serve and the one its competitors mostly ignore. Every guide links to the matching practice page and to the firm's contact page, so a reader who decides they need help is one tap from the phone number.

Reported Traffic Results

Google Analytics · 90 days ending August 2026

1,168%
reported growth in active users
58%
of sessions from organic search
+198%
reported growth in page views

Organic search accounted for more than half of all sessions in this period, which means the firm is not renting its traffic from an ad budget it has to keep topping up. The Crestview criminal defense page and the guides on Florida domestic violence allegations and on how charges get dismissed were among the most-read pages, which is exactly the audience a defense firm wants finding it at 2am.

What these numbers don't show

The active-user and page-view growth figures describe overall website traffic. They do not isolate the effect of SEO from referrals, direct visits or the firm's reputation. The figures we were given do not include raw totals, exact date boundaries or the comparison window behind the growth percentages. And they are traffic figures, not a count of inquiries, retained clients or revenue. Results vary with each business's market and starting point.

Questions About This Project

Did the SEO work cause the traffic growth?
We can't say that cleanly, and we won't. The growth figures describe all website traffic over one 90 day window. Organic search was the largest channel at 58 percent of sessions, and the most-read pages were search content, which points in the right direction. But the figures don't isolate SEO from referrals, direct visits or the firm's own reputation.
What is the Warrior Law website built on?
Next.js, the same framework we use for our own site. Pages are rendered on the server, so Google and AI crawlers read the full content without running JavaScript, and the firm's pages load quickly on phones, which is where most people in a legal emergency are searching from.
Would this structure work for my firm?
The practice-area-by-city structure works for any firm that serves several towns and practices in a few areas. The guides work for any firm whose clients search their situation before they search for a lawyer. Whether the numbers would look like these depends on your market, your competition and your starting point, and we'll tell you honestly before you pay us anything.
